We are presuming that you have done all the research
you can on the type, make and model of car which will
suit your needs. You can learn so much about a particular
car before you go to an auction. Ask garages, mechanics,
current or past owners about the particular faults to
look out for. Your local library should carry a selection
of manuals which will not only tell you how to repair
a car, but also what to look out for on a used example.
The more you learn about the cars you're interested
in beforehand, the easier it will be to check them out
at the auction.
